Summary
The story of Valley High School Musical revolves around two plots. The main plot of the story is a parody of Disney’s High School Musical. Gabe, the handsome star of Valley’s football team, has fallen head over heals for the beautiful, brilliant, and politically correct Maria (who is also new to Valley and is trying to “find her place”). Unfortunately for Gabe, Maria has fallen in love with a different guy named Andrew. Unfortunately for Maria, Andrew is gay and has a huge crush on Gabe. Of course, all three of them tryout for the school musical.
The subplot revolves around the adventures of Alex Fletcher. A sophomore girl who is on an epic (and by epic I mean incredibly weird) quest to find her long lost sister who was attacked by hall monitors two years ago and was never seen again. It is basically just a compilation of various daydreams the scriptwriter has had about our school.
VHSM is sponsored by the VHS Film Club, Zachary Hayes dot com, Blooper Brothers and Up-All-Night Productions. VHSM is planned to be shown at the first annual Valley High School Film Festival at the end of the 2007-08 school year, second semester but because this event may be cancelled for complicated reasons. It is non-profit. Valley High School Musical was originally thought up by Laura Fast, the writer of this magnificent screenplay. Zachary Hayes took notice to what started as a simple joke (Valley High School Musical, haha) and turned it into a progressive idea which will soon be the first Valley High School movie. Watch out Peter Hedges, there are new movie makers at Valley High School. The characters and story line of this short movie are all fictional with a few exception.

Audition Information
Any Valley High School student can try out and we welcome everyone to help out. If you don't want to be an actor I'm sure we can find something else you can do. Auditions will be held during resource on Tuesdays in room 2326. If you are unable to attend the audition you can send me an email. The alternative to that would be to join the Facebook group, "Valley High School Musical", and leave a comment saying you're interested. Here are the requirements:
- You have to be a student at Valley High School.
- You must be committed to your part and attend practically all recordings that you're in.
- You might have to sing. (I said sing, not sing well.)
- You'll have to be capable of getting rides to and from school in the event that we have to record after school.
